The settings file
Everything you can change is in plain words in three places. You never need to edit code.
Where things live
| In Studio | What's in it | Edited |
|---|---|---|
| ReplicatedStorage / RadioShared / RadioSettings | Every shared setting: keys, nets, teams, squelch, crates, sounds | often |
| ReplicatedStorage / RadioShared / Radios | One script per radio: its name, band, reach, sounds and menu look | per radio |
| ServerStorage / RadioSecret | Your server password, alone (2.3) | once |
Changing a setting
- Open RadioSettings and find the section (below)
- Read the comment above the setting: it says what it does, a sensible range, and what players will notice
- Change the value and press Play
That's all. No installer run, and no other script needs pasting again. Settings can't be changed while the game is running; stop and press Play again.
Every feature has an off switchMost sections start with Enabled = true. Set it to false to turn that feature off without deleting anything.

Adding or removing a radio
- Remove: delete that radio's script from Radios. Or set
Pack.Enabled = falseto hide it and keep the file - Add: copy a radio's script, rename the copy, set its
Pack.Keyto the same name, and change its numbers - Reorder the crate with
Pack.Order: low numbers first
If a team still lists a radio you removed, the Output window names the team and hands out the next radio on its list.
When you update
An update lists the files to paste again (5.4). If RadioSettings or a radio file is on that list, copy your changes somewhere first, then put them back after pasting.
