Brevity / Legal
Terms of sale
The deal between you and Brevity when you buy a licence.
Who you're buying from
Brevity is made and sold from Ontario, Canada. Payhip takes the payment for us. Reach us at support@brevitycomms.com or with a ticket in our Discord.
In these pages, you means the person who buys the licence, and we means Brevity.
What you get
A licence to use Brevity, not ownership of it. What the licence allows is in L2 Licence and fair use.
It includes the Roblox scripts, the TeamSpeak 3 plugin your members install, the hosted relay that connects them, updates, the manual, and support in our Discord.
Price and payment
$18, paid once, with no subscription. Payhip shows the final price, and any tax, before you pay.
Payhip emails you a receipt and a licence key. Keep that email: it's your record of the purchase. These terms are dated at the top; save or print this page if you want a copy, and ask us for the version you agreed to at any time.
Getting access
Sign in with Roblox on this site, enter your key, then add your game. Staff approve it, usually within a few hours. If we can't approve it (for example, the game isn't yours or your group's), you get a full refund.
Buyers under 18
If you're under 18, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms and make or approve the purchase. Under Ontario law a purchase by someone under 18 can be undone: if a parent or guardian asks, we refund it and the licence ends.
The hosted service
The relay is hosted for you, included in the price, for as long as Brevity runs. We aim for it to be up all the time but can't promise it. The status page shows how it's doing. If the service ever closes, you get at least a month's notice.
Brevity depends on Roblox, TeamSpeak, Discord, Payhip and Cloudflare. If one of them changes something that breaks Brevity, we'll work to fix it, but some of that is outside our control.
What we promise
Brevity works as the manual describes when it's set up the way the manual says. Features shown as planned, in videos, on Discord or anywhere else, aren't part of what you bought until they're released.
Beyond that, Brevity is provided as it is, as far as the law allows. Ontario's Consumer Protection Act promises you that what you buy is of acceptable quality, and nothing here takes that away.
Limits
As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as a cancelled event, players leaving, or action Roblox takes against your game. Our total responsibility for a claim is at most what you paid. This doesn't limit anything the law says can't be limited.
If something goes wrong
Talk to us first, with a ticket in our Discord or at support@brevitycomms.com. We aim to answer within 3 business days.
These terms follow the law of Ontario and Canada. You keep every right the law gives you, including going to court (Small Claims Court, for example) or to a consumer-protection office. We don't ask you to give up any of them. If you live in the EU or the UK, your own country's consumer rights also apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these pages; the date at the top shows when. A change never takes away something you already paid for. Changes to how the ongoing service works are announced in our Discord and on this site at least 14 days before they apply.
