Refunds and chargebacks

Plain words

When you get your money back, and what happens to the licence.

Your rights come first.Written in plain words. If anything here conflicts with a right the law gives you, the law wins.
L4.1

The rule

Within 14 days of buying, if Brevity can't be made to work in your game and our support couldn't fix it, you get a full refund. You also get one if we can't approve your game.

L4.2

Not a reason on its own

Changing your mind after using it, an event being over, or a planned feature not being out yet.

L4.3

Your rights under the law

Nothing here takes away a refund the law gives you. Ontario's Consumer Protection Act lets you cancel in some cases, for example if we left out something the law says we must tell you.

In the EU and UK you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Brevity starts straight away, so on the buy page you're asked to agree to start now and to accept that the legal 14-day cancellation ends once access starts. Our own 14-day rule above still applies.

L4.4

How to ask

  1. Within 14 days, open a ticket in our Discord (or email support@brevitycomms.com) and say what isn't working, so we can try to fix it first.
  2. If it can't be fixed, we refund through Payhip to the way you paid, within 15 days at most.
L4.5

What happens after

Payhip turns the licence key off, and within a day the site pauses the licence. Your server password stops working and your games lose radio.

L4.6

Chargebacks

Please talk to us first: a refund through us is quicker for everyone. If you open a chargeback or a payment dispute, the licence is paused while it's open. If it's decided in your favour, the licence ends. If it's decided in ours, the licence comes back. We share the purchase record with the payment company to answer it.
