Plain words

What we keep, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask for. Written for Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA), with the EU and UK rules in mind.

Your rights come first.Written in plain words. If anything here conflicts with a right the law gives you, the law wins.
L3.1

Who's responsible

Brevity, run from Ontario, Canada. Questions about your information: support@brevitycomms.com.

L3.2

Buyers

  • Your Roblox user id, name and avatar link: to sign you in and show your licence.
  • Your Payhip order number and the email Payhip gives us: to check you paid, and to reach you about your licence.
  • Your game and group ids: so only your games can use your licence.
  • A scrambled copy of your server password. We can't read the password itself.
  • A log of what happened to your licence: approvals, pauses and changes.
  • If you open a ticket, your Discord name and what you write.
L3.3

Players in a buyer's game

  • Pairing: the relay links a player's Roblox id and name to their TeamSpeak identity, with a scrambled pairing code, so the radio knows whose voice is whose.
  • Positions and radio settings pass through the relay several times a second. They're held in memory, never written to disk, and gone within about a minute.
  • The comms log lives on the buyer's own Roblox server and disappears when that server closes. It belongs to the game owner and isn't sent to us.
L3.4

What we never keep

Voice: it stays in TeamSpeak and never reaches us. Passwords: there aren't any, because Roblox signs you in. Card details: Payhip, PayPal and Stripe handle those.

L3.5

Network addresses and cookies

The site and the relay see your internet address and use it to stop abuse, such as too many wrong codes. It's kept briefly, not for profiling.

The site sets one sign-in cookie, which it needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're human on some forms.

L3.6

Who else handles it

Payhip (payments, UK), with PayPal or Stripe. Roblox (sign-in, US). Cloudflare (this site, its database and the relay's network). OVHcloud (the relay server, in Canada). Discord (support tickets). Some of these keep data outside Canada, where local laws apply. Nothing is sold, and there are no ads.

L3.7

How long

A player's pairing is forgotten after 90 days without use. Buyer records are kept while the licence exists. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires (generally six years in Canada). Everything else is deleted when you ask.

L3.8

Your rights

Ask us at support@brevitycomms.com for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (except what the law says we must keep). We answer within 30 days. If you're not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. In the EU or UK, you have the same rights under GDPR and can complain to your own data protection authority.

L3.9

Children

This site is for the people who own or run games. We don't knowingly collect more about anyone under 18 than Roblox sign-in gives us. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.

L3.10

If something leaks

If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we tell you and the Privacy Commissioner, as Canadian law requires.
